Since 1956, Corcoran’s Menswear has been a steady fixture at the end of North Main Street. Opened by a young Brendan Corcoran, the store has remained in the family for nearly seventy years, now run by his daughter Maeve and her husband John. What started as a menswear store has evolved into a trusted destination for quality clothing and suit hire, known for its sharp selection and a steady, assured hand within an ever changing retail landscape.
The family have built Corcoran’s Menswear on service. There’s no pressure to buy, no gimmicks….just honest advice from people who know their offering! Whether it’s helping a customer find the right fit or guiding them towards the right style, the team ensures every purchase is made with confidence. Retail definitely is unpredictable, and the team knows that better than most. “The door opens, and anything could come in,” says John. But in an industry that has seen trends rise and fall, the store’s core principles remain unchanged. The original 1956 shopfront is still intact, a rare nod to Wexford town’s commercial past……… Maeve added “It is nice to think that we have, one of the oldest shopfronts in Wexford and we don’t plan on changing, it stood the test of time, I believe.”
